When you browse an object, the object data is populated in the Data Window in read-only mode. In the read-only mode you can do the following tasks from the Data Window:
Follow these steps:
The Layout-Filter dialog appears.

Rearrange the columns
Select a column, drag-and-drop the column at the required position in the grid. For example, you can drag-and-drop the first column of a table to the last position of the table.
Sort the columns
Click a column heading to sort the records in ascending or descending order. When the column is in ascending order a small triangle appears on, top of the column heading. For descending order, an inverted triangle appears on top of the column heading.

An integer column in ascending order:

View Column Properties
Right-click a column heading and select Column Properties. The properties of the selected column are displayed in the Properties window.
Sample Column Properties:
Specifies the column name.
Specifies the name of the object creator.
Specifies the name of the table.
Specifies the data type of the column.
Specifies the column length.
Specifies the scale for the column.
Specifies the default value of the column.
Search for a Record
Type the string in the filter area of the Data Window. The matching records appear in the grid view as you type.
Browse option populates the object data in the Data Window.
